WOSID donate borehole to Apiawoyi community,give foodstuffs,clothes to 250 widows,1000 childrenĀ

Founder/President of the Women Solidarity Initiative for Development (WOSID) Chief Marian Nishile,has said the organisation will continue to contribute it’s quota towards the development of Apiawoyi community.

Nishile stated this during the commissioning of the borehole in Apiawoyi village in Nasarawa state and distribution of items to 1000 children and 250 widows in the community on Friday.Nishile said this was the organisations way of reaching out to the less-privileged in the community.

“We want to use this opportunity to appreciate the people of this community for their support to our organisation and farming ventures over the years.The borehole is to provide clean water to the people of the community.

“In addition,we have given foodstuffs, clothes and other items to 1000 children and 250 widows today.This is to help them celebrate the Christmas and New Year festivities.”She said.

Nishile said WOSID which was set up six years ago also empowers women farmers during raining season with seedlings,herbicides,sprayers and more items to enable them farm.

The Sariki of Apiawoyi,Gaya Shefelo thanked WOSID for providing the community with the borehole and promised that the community will continue to support their farming ventures.

Leader of the Destiny Women group,Mrs Matina Bawa, said about 70 women in her group got various items like shoes, clothes, foodstuffs and more.

“We want to thank our mummy Nishile and pray that God will keep providing for her and keeping her in good health.”She said.

Similarly,Tina Joseph,a mother of four, thanked WOSID for providing them with food stuffs and clothes to celebrate the season.Today,I got corn flour,garri,rice,palm oil, wrapper and more.I pray God will bless WOSID and provide more for them.”She said.
