Hajiya Fadilah Isa Muhammad, founder/leader associated with Finest Travels and the Sutura Women Empowerment Foundation (SWEF), has been honoured with the Value Added Woman Award at the She Conference held last week.
The recognition celebrates her contributions to women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and community impact through her work in the travel sector through Finest Travels and her leadership of SWEF. The Sutura Women Empowerment Foundation focuses on supporting and uplifting women, aligning with the spirit of platforms like the She Conference that highlight value-creating female leaders who drive tangible change in business and society.

Many girls still face barriers such as poverty, limited educational opportunities and unemployment. SWEF responds by connecting girls with practical vocational training to learn skills through trusted partner institutions, mentorship and opportunities that prepare them for sustainable livelihoods.

This award underscores the growing acknowledgment of women who combine commercial success with social good—building enterprises that create opportunities while advancing gender inclusion and empowerment initiatives. Hajiya Fadilah’s dual role in the travel industry and women’s empowerment work positions her as a model of the “value added” principle: generating economic and social returns that benefit individuals, families, and communities.
The She Conference serves as a key gathering for celebrating and amplifying such achievements among women leaders. Her win last week adds to the momentum of recognising Northern Nigerian (and broader Nigerian) women entrepreneurs and foundation leaders who are making measurable differences.

Congratulations to Hajiya Fadilah Isa Muhammad, Finest Travels, and the Sutura Women Empowerment Foundation on this well-deserved honour. It serves as inspiration for other women building impactful ventures and organisations.
