Dr. (Mrs.) Ruth Davies Ibiamu, Chief Executive Officer of Ruthies Interbiz Limited, has been appointed as the Nigerian Coordinator for Africa Celebrates 2026, one of the continent’s largest Pan-African cultural, trade, and investment platforms.
Her appointment was conveyed by Legendary Gold Limited and its Ethiopian partner, Afronova, in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the Ministry of Tourism of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, following a strategic meeting and recommendation to the Executive Board of Africa Celebrates.
Africa Celebrates 2026 is scheduled to hold from November 10 to 15, 2026, at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, under the theme: “One Africa, One People: Uniting Our Culture, Innovation, and Enterprise for a Shared Prosperous Future.”
The annual event promotes African unity, economic integration, trade, tourism, innovation, culture, and investment while encouraging patronage of Made-in-Africa products and services. It also seeks to empower women and youth through wealth creation opportunities.
The event according to organizers has witnessed remarkable growth since its inception in 2021, expanding from participation by 18 African countries to 43 African nations and representatives from 15 countries in the diaspora in 2025. The 2026 edition is expected to attract even broader participation.
As Nigeria’s Coordinator, Dr. Ibiamu will be responsible for leading the country’s delegation, including business executives, technology innovators, fashion designers, and cultural performers.
Her role further includes coordinating tourism and travel logistics for Nigerian delegates.
The organisers expressed confidence that Dr. Ibiamu’s leadership and extensive network would strengthen Nigeria’s participation and contribute significantly to advancing the shared vision of African integration, economic prosperity, and continental collaboration.
