2023 Elections: Fire Service deploys vehicles,approves hotlines for States,FCT

The Controller General of Federal Fire Service, Engr Jaji O. Abdulganiyu (MIFire.E MNSE) has deployed utility vehicles to State Controllers to further facilitate their surveillance during the elections.

The National Public Relations Officer,AC Paul Abraham in a statement disclosed that the CG also approved hotlines to report cases of fire or related emergencies before, during and after the elections processes to forestall the occurrence of fire disaster.

“Our collective security strategy is to implement the Fire Service mandate for fire prevention which is in tandem with the policies that ensure smooth and safe conduct of election protocols.”Abdulganiyu stated.

The CG warns that members of the public should desist from using or harbouring inflammables such as petrol, kerosene and primary sources of ignition like cigarettes, lighters, match boxes, explosive devices near any polling unit.

The Federal Fire Service urge the public to call the phone numbers below in their various states including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to report any issue that could compromise the safety of lives and property during this period.
