INEC Scribe Visits NIPR-FCT Secretariat

… Lauds Chapter’s Innovative Initiatives 

Secretary to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Mrs. Rose Omoa Oriaran-Anthony, has paid a solidarity visit to the leadership of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), FCT Chapter, where she lauded the Institute for bringing relevance to the Public Relations profession in the country. 

Speaking at the Chapter’s new Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, Mrs. Oriaran-Anthony, a Fellow of NIPR commended the leadership of FCT Chapter for embarking on robust programmes that have empowered Public Relations practitioners to add value to their various organisations.

According to her, the Stanley Ogadigo-led Executive has since assumption of office raised the profile of the FCT Chapter, saying she is proud of the administration’s achievements in a short while. 

“We see what you are doing, we hear what you are doing and we are here to tell you that we are proud of you. Through quality initiatives, you have taken the profile of NIPR-FCT to higher level”, she noted. 

The INEC Secretary said the level of relevance the Institute has gained is currently attracting people to identify with it, adding that capacity building as focused by the Chapter is key to building positive reputation for organisations. 

Welcoming the INEC Scribe,  the Chairman NIPR-FCT, Mr. Stanley Ogadigo commended her for exhibiting professionalism and excellence in the discharge of her duties, pointing out that Oriaran-Anthony has demonstrated that women have capacity to occupy exalted offices and deliver values. 

“As an Institute, we watch the activities of our members in their various places of work. We admire the professional manner with which you carry out your duties. We are very delighted that we have somebody who is a professional, somebody who has character and somebody who is competent to man that sensitive position”, he said. 

Mr. Ogadigo also applauded the Secretary to INEC for always demonstrating humility by making herself available for activities of the Chapter, urging other members to at all times relate with their professional body and join efforts in elevating its status.

In the delegation of the Secretary included: Director, voter Education and Publicity, Mrs Victoria Eta Messi, Director, Security, Mrs. Ndidi Okafor and Deputy Director in the office of the Secretary to the Commission, Mr Uche Eze; while Director News, NTA, Hajia Halima Musa and Senior Admin Officer of the Chapter, Mr. Uzoma Nwosu were on ground to join the Chapter Chairman in receiving the guests.
