The African Natural Resources and Mines Limited ( ANRML) one of the companies of the African Industries Group (AIG) have been recognised and honoured for its exceptional leadership, innovation, and impactful contributions within Nigeria’s solid minerals sector.
This recognition was given at the Solid Minerals Excellence Awards (SOMEA), organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development held in Abuja recently.
At this year’s ceremony, AIG & ANRML received the following awards:Outstanding Performer in Occupational Health and Safety Award,the Mining Company of the Year – Iron Ore and the Most Innovative Company Award.
The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Henry Dele Alake who presided over the ceremony highlighed the significance of the event and its alignment with national priorities for the advancement of Nigeria’s mining industry.
Other dignitaries present at the event were Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Solid Minerals Development,Engr. Faruk Yusuf Yabo, Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Solid Minerals Development Fund (SMDF),Hajiya Fatima Umaru Shinkafi and the Director of Investment Promotion and Mineral Trade (IPMT),Dr. Esther Udo.
In his remarks,the CEO of ANRML Mr Anand Dubey said these recognitions reflect the company’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, and the highest standards of health and safety within the mining sector.
“We remain dedicated to driving growth and creating lasting value in Nigeria’s solid minerals industry.” Dubey said.
